I have a sore throat!

It’s spreading like wildfire.

WWWP 03-07-2020 09:53 PM

But do you have a fever?

No. It’s so common for me to get a sore throat because I have allergies and snore but I’m still terrified.

Well bringing it close to home here, but my wife has been sick since Friday with every single COVID-19 symptom you can check off. I still feel fine but I imagine my luck will run out. Obviously she might not necessarily have coronavirus but whatever it is has made her miserable. There’s only one “confirmed” case in Indiana but at this point I find that hard to believe. She’s 26 and otherwise in good health so hopefully she beats it soon

Do they even have testing kits where you live?

OccultHawk 03-08-2020 07:00 AM

I call in because the symptoms start mild and get “you need to get it approved by a manager”

It’s a ****ing restaurant. If I had it the potential to pass it along is enormous. I’m not even kidding everyone down here is like Trump says it’s no big deal. If I get fired I’ll call CNN.

Strong doubt. Not much point in even seeking them out anyway is there?

Anywho she’s a teacher so it’s not hard to imagine she may have gotten it from the petri dish of nasty fluids that get sprayed around a classroom all day

It often develops into pneumonia (or something like it) and put lesions on the lungs that can become infected with bacterial growth. So if it gets bad even though the primary cause is viral antibiotics may help. Plus, I figure they can help with respiration. And the issue of if you should isolate yourself is also at play.

Ben Carson gave the most incredibly ignorant interview on This Week this morning. Basically wash your hands and carry on as usual. Meanwhile, northern Italy is completely shutting down. Carson is like if you’re healthy it won’t kill you. I guess that means go ahead and let the virus proliferate. And Trump is still going to have rallies sending the message that crowded public places are safe.

Everywhere else on the planet is suspending activities to try to contain the virus until we understand it better and hopefully come up with treatments and vaccines. Carson even said we can take the opportunity to learn how viruses are spread as if some aren’t far more contagious than others. And he completely ignores airborne transmission.

Ben Carson being ignorant? Holy ****!
