I’m not sure what to make of it. The description of it and governments reaction to it seem misaligned. I’m not drawing any conspiracy conclusions but it seems like it would have to be more dreadful than they’re saying for China to cut off that much industry. idk

I'm not worried really but I think it will get worse. Saw that they reckon 500,000 people could die from it in the UK, don't think it'll be that bad but I don't think it's a fuss over nothing either.

Schools, GP surgeries and Canary Wharf were shut down yesterday. Looks to be getting pretty bad in Italy.

^ That moment came for me in the mid-terms when Republicans began saying they were the party for protecting pre-existing conditions, when they were actively engaged in pushing laws through federal courts to reject pre-existing conditioners from health care.

Either way people are buying that **** up. If you can sell magnetic bracelets that are supposed to improve your balance you can certainly sell face masks during a potential pandemic.

Just tried to buy 100 masks last night, 60 bucks but its 359 shipping and cant get to me until mid march. then another was only 50 for 50 bucks and cheap shipping but cant get to me until late march.

Yesterday my throat started hurting and now it's two AM and I'm awake and my throat hurts like hell. Hope I don't have it. There was a case in the town next to where I live so it wouldn't be too outlandish to think that I have it but of course it could be a normal cold or flu.
It's especially annoying since I'm on a business trip in Bavaria since yesterday, interacting with lots of people.
Staying in a hotel right now. We weren't able to finish our work yesterday so I wanted to continue today but it looks like I'll try to go to a doctor in this town. Hope I won't be too sick to drive home, it's a three hour drive. Damn, I was looking forward to a chill weekend.

The NYTimes is saying it’s 20 times more deadly as the flu, a vaccine is at least a year off, availability of the vaccine when (or even if) it becomes available will be another major obstacle, and some doctors are predicting you’re as likely to get it as you are a cold.

The Dow just dropped 1190 points (haha) and Asians have been targeted for hate crimes.

This is only going to make Trump's rejection of the 2020 election results that much scarier. Imagine Trump fascism during a massive outbreak of a deadly disease. We kind of deserve it.

It’s a great excuse for martial law and when our government completely abuses it with deep fascist intent it will be more evidence to support my theory that the American government is worse than China.

Mostly pissed off that I had to miss work rn.
