Protesters clog streets in Michigan over Whitmer coronavirus stay-home order

Some of these hopefully soon to be dead ignorant mouthbreathers are waving Don’t Tread on Me flags

You stupid ****s, spreading a deadly virus is textbook treading on people.

I would so love to see the national guard go Kent State on these idiots.

Through a growing number of papers, doctors around the globe are chronicling Covid-19’s lesser-known neurological manifestations including brain inflammation, hallucinations, seizures, cognitive deficits and loss of smell and taste.

...

The range of effects could take decades to play out. Some epidemiological studies and lab experiments with other viruses suggest severe infections could set in motion molecular events that might increase the risk of developing neurodegenerative disorders

...

“When this virus first came out, the general feeling was that there wasn’t much in the way of neurological manifestations. This was a pulmonary process,” said S. Andrew Josephson, chair of neurology at the University of California, San Francisco. “This article should open up everyone’s eyes that this disorder affects the brain as well.”
Wall Street Journal

But these people are too “patriotic” to just ****ing stay home for a while while scientists figure out wtf we’re dealing with.

Between our government not swatting these people down and defunding The World Health Organization in the midst of a pandemic. Goddamn we’re a bunch of ignorant ****s.

Recovering from this has been slow, but wtf. There's already a history of Alzheimer's in my family.

Ivanka Trump traveled from Washington to New Jersey to celebrate Passover, flouting the federal coronavirus guidelines advising against discretionary travel that she has urged other Americans to follow, The New York Times reported.
I wish I could think she’s atypical but nope she’s just a typical spoiled ass American that thinks it’s ok for others to die so she can do exactly as she pleases.

While New York is looking to ramp up their coronavirus testing efforts and is calling for federal support, other parts of the country are facing frustration and outrage over stay-at-home orders that some deem unnecessary. Las Vegas' mayor demanded Nevada end its lockdown, pointing to the state's relatively low number of confirmed cases. David Begnaud looks around the country to see how the coronavirus pandemic is playing out across the U.S.
Oh yeah because Las Vegas could never become a hot spot where people from all over the world could get infected and continue to spread the virus globally. Not selfish at all.

Went to the gas station and they installed a huge clear glass shield around the whole counter. I wore rubber gloves and my mask, I will most likely get into a pattern of wearing rubber gloves through the summer until I run out of pairs.

Just my opinion but unless you can get disposable latex gloves like cooks wear I think you’re better off just being really careful not to touch your face and wash your hands as a frequently and as soon as possible. If you can get the restaurant style latex gloves, you change them out after basically every task. Even before this when I was working with fish I changed gloves and washed my hands maybe 50 Times a day. Every time I drank water, went to get new pans, put away old pans, needed a measuring cup, whatever - I changed gloves and washed my hands. It protects the customer but it was really entirely for me. But anyway those big rubber gloves, unless you can constantly disinfect them are really hard to keep clean and it’s not scientific but just my guess, that pathogens stick to them really easily. Naturally you don’t want the pathogen to touch your hand either but even when I did dish I used the disposable ones. I’ve only seen a few people use the big rubber ones and everyone is worried about protecting themselves, not others. Again, it’s just my guess but the big rubber ones get covered in pathogens and they’re hard to wash.

On my last shift I thought about stealing a few boxes of latex gloves but didn’t because I know they’re expensive and they keep a secret eye on them same as produce. It would’ve sucked to have lost my unemployment because I got caught stealing on my last day.

As part of the last relief package, every adult with a Social Security number making less than $99,000 per year was promised a one-time direct cash payment of up to $1,200. But many lawmakers feel a single check is not enough:

A coalition of 62 Congress members — including Senator Kamala Harris, Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — have urged Senate and House leaders to make the payments monthly.

Ms. Pelosi supports the idea of at least some additional payments, and President Trump has said that if another round of stimulus is needed, he would “absolutely” consider the idea.

Senate Democrats have also proposed a “heroes fund” to provide a $25,000 pay increase to essential workers, including health care providers, grocery clerks and delivery drivers, along with a one-time $15,000 bonus to recruit new essential workers.
25 G to you Bat. UBI for everyone. Trump will stamp this **** and use it to crush his rapist opponent.
