So way back in March my wife and I got sick, the doctors tested for flu and it was negative, they told us to assume we got Covid and to quarantine.
Fast forward to this November, my wife got sick again and since at this point it's much easier to get tested for Covid she was able to get one and tested positive. She felt pretty off for a while but nothing too crazy. To this day though she still does not have her full sense of taste/smell back. Pretty frequently she will randomly say "huh, I just smelled something I haven't smelled in a long time". So it seems completely random. The neurological lasting symptoms of this disease are truly bizarre. I on the other hand apparently did not get Covid from her, I tested a couple days after she got the positive result and my test came back negative. We stayed away from each other on opposite ends of the house for a couple weeks. I don't know how I wouldn't have gotten it, on the days leading up to her positive test I was definitely in close contact with her. About as close as you can get lol Anyways there's my personal update, things are going fine at this point and I'm able to work from home the majority of the time which has its pros and cons
