^ I like the word "temporarily" in this headline. Does that mean when the risk of infection is over, prisoners will be sent a reminder in the post, "Would you come back to prison please?"

Understandably, a lot of the focus of news stories is about the first wave, numbers of infected on the rise, etc.

Does anyone have info on what follows? The source city in China is still locked down I believe, drones telling people to stay indoors. Is that what we should expect elsewhere? Complete cities of people under house arrest for weeks ?

I think it would be fantastic to have an ironclad excuse to not do a goddamn thing.

^ HaHa! yes, sounds perfect from the perspective of someone with a physically exhausting job - not so appealing from the perspective of someone living alone, who can imagine days spent struggling with a fever, to weak to get up before dying unnoticed.

I mean you still sound like someone having fun with the idea but imagine that you're someone infected who's worried about being sick, but still has to go to work cause their boss doesn't care that they're sick so long as they can do their job and your major worry isn't being sick but making rent. The whole narrative of an epidemic is meaningless cause you need to make money and your boss wouldn't care even if they knew you had the coronavirus.

Not doing anything is my absolute favorite thing to do. I’m all for a shutdown. I’m so sick of how busy and crowded and frantic everything is. Unfortunately, I can’t imagine America making the moral decision to put life in front of industry the way China has.

OH would eat a dog turd sandwich for China.

All Serie A fixtures for at least the next month to be played in empty stadiums.

This is getting pretty serious now. With this and the suspension of the Swiss league, the Euros must be at risk. I wouldn't be surprised if it were postponed.

Two more cases in Scotland taking the UK total up to 53.
