Before I dive deeper, perhaps it's worth illustrating our own experiences - what did you get as "sex ed" in school?

I got a xeroxed image of a vagina with the anus and the urethra pointed out and nothing else lol. We learned about our periods - but not why they happened. They would talk vaguely about sperm fertilizing the egg but no mention of what sperm was or where it came from, or what eggs were and where they were kept. I remember incessantly asking "wait what's this other hole for?" and eventually being told to write my question on a piece of paper and if there was time they would address it at the end. lol

they told us about condoms, STDs, all that ****.

We still had teen pregnancy through the roof. I'm guessing probably at a higher rate than you guys did tbh.

They thing is as I tried desperately to explain earlier the genetic history of any living organism on earth is billions of years old. Humans have only been in roughly this form for 100,000 years. Understanding why anything is anything is hard as ****. You can’t just make an assumption like dudes are taller because chicks like tall dudes. Dudes might be taller in part because of genetic mutations before mammals even existed. They don’t have this **** figured out like that.

And girls from Wyoming are probably prudes.

I don't disagree with sex ed being better I am just generally cynical. Probably the two main reasons people have unsafe sex is cause condoms and birth control can be expensive and it just feels better to go raw lol.

May be true for guys but naive girls don't use birth control because they're afraid to ask their parents or be slut shamed if they admit they're sexually active. Girls don't use condoms because they believe and/or give in to boys when they say condoms are "too uncomfortable," or they "don't fit" or "if you really loved me you'd let me."
