We're two hours apart now so still get to see each other on weekends, but in April she's moving to NC for a year so I'll soon be an expert in long distance relationships and will pass on any tips I come across lol.

Oh that's tough, I'm sorry. But by far the most important thing about long distance relationships is being attentive and considerate (and good at communicating of course), I think you're the kind of person to make that work.
Anyway, voice messages is really good advice. More personal than text, but less scary early on than call/vid.
