The answer is yes. I could easily pop a perc and not get hooked. I wouldn't do so cause they're all fake and have fet in them now.

I was hooked on dxm. I stopped for good a little more than a year ago. After I got fired from the box plant. It took me several tries to quit. But at this point I feel pretty much done with that ****.

Right now I'm hooked on weed, cigs and alcohol. I want to cross another off the list but so far am struggling with the will power.

The term "woke" as used by the OP, and by a ton of other people these days, has little to nothing to do with what the term is actually supposed to mean.

woke

Until about 3-4 years ago, "politically correct" or just "PC" would have been the pejorative to use. Are people getting so lazy they no longer want to say so many syllables?

I hear this in my head in Zoidberg's voice every single time I see this thread.

I remember the PC movement all too well. In some ways they were just as bad as the right when it came to free speech. Professors actually lost their jobs if they dared to even slightly sway from the PC political line. You can't have a free society if you have to walk on eggshells all the time. Anyway there's a difference between a Proud Boy and some misinformed twit that thinks blacks can't swim. One means malice while the other, well, I guess lived in a different time. Anyway, the PC movement was never able to tell the difference between real racism (that indeed is out there) and someone having an opinion that didn't quite fit in with their philosophy.

Yeah my experience with PC was that it was the exact same fake moral panic as wokeness. Literally just slapped a new coat of paint on it.

Vaguely remember the brick thing but I couldn't figure out what went on there. Btw I got the impression (from watching too much British TV) that keeping a brick in your house as a weapon against burglars is a thing some people do in the north of England (see the gritty social realism of Bo Selecta)

No, it's about dismissing the goals of wokeness much like the ways they portrayed hippies for opposing the war.

I feel like most people are just cry babies that want the freedom to spread ****ty opinions with out allowing the freedom for others to critique it.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.
