Russell Brand would be one of the first people I tracked down if I fancied a bit of an emotional breakdown/killing spree. I just don't see the appeal at all.

I watched Alan Carrs stand up, and it just seemed to me to be a gay guy talking about how gay he is and how much his Daddy hates him because of it.

I watched the whole thing, maybe chuckled once or twice and when it was over I was just left thinking "You're gay, I get it."

Not for me.

I've been watching the new series of Would I Lie To You and finding new appreciation for David Mitchell's humour- he's definitely best on panel shows. Seeing Michael Mcintyre in October -I can't wait!

His comedy is old school and not particularly scathing or current but his enthusiasm and physicality make up for it. He's a great comedic actor which shines through in his shows. I have his 6 disc dvd set of his live shows and they get regular views.

I'm a fan of Lee Evans stand up. I don't watch his stuff as much as I once used to but it's still good for a laugh whenever I do put it on. I don't have the DVDs but I probably have the same ones just on VHS bought when I was in school. I seem to like him for the same reasons, he's a bit of a blur and a real ball of energy which I think makes up for not being particularly original or unique in any way.

However i dont think i can comprehend what you say about him being a great comedic actor. He's a good comedian but in my opinion he's a terrible, terrible actor.
