I'm reading three atm.
Picture of Dorian Gray-Oscar Wilde
Ulysses-James Joyce (for the third time)
Endgame-Samuel Beckett
Seems I'm on an Irish author kick.

The Plague by Albert Camus.

I just finished reading The Fall by Camus last night and started this one immediately after. I'm hoping to have it finished by Wednesday so I can re-read The Stranger for the umpteenth time. I'm having an experiment, how depressed can you get if you read nothing but Camus for an entire week. If I mysteriously stop posting by the 29th I guess we'll have our answer

Anyways I plowed through this last night.

My first Stephen King read since sometime in high school (maybe as far back as Freshmen year). It was an enjoyable little piece of fiction that was tense and the protagonist was very vulnerable, at least when compared to modern day horror protagonists. The ending was definitely more uplifting then in the movie adaptation, which just shows how fucking depressing the movies ending was.

I looooved the ending to the movie, it almost made the crappy movie worth watching.

I've been reading the Lord of the Rings one-volume edition. I'm some 500 pages in, about 1/2 of the way through The Two Towers

I'm still trying to finish Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time. I'm on book 9. Winter's Heart. I know it's going to pick up again, but I've got readers block.

Really enjoying it, I havent read anything by him before (despite owning the Mistborn Trilogy and book one of the Stormlight Archive) so I wanted to read a standalone novel to get a feel for his style before committing to a 3 book series, or starting a 10 book series!!

I also saw that the Song of Ice and Fire paperbacks have been re issued, slightly larger though. I hope this isnt a sign of things to come when the new one comes out, because otherwise it wont match with the rest of my collection and I may need to re buy them again!!

Bright Lights, Big City by Jay McInerney

Got this one based on a recommendation from Paloma a while back. Just finished tonight, very good read. Like this style of fiction, and I will take her picks in the future in a higher regard because of it.

Yes, he was. Kind of a boring movie though. Excellent book.
