All the good things everyone said about Ender's Game are true. I ****ing loved it to pieces, bought Ender's Shadow immediately upon finishing it. :D

Please tell me if this is interesting! I've never read anything on the Hapsburg's before (except I know about the Hapsburg jaw) so it sounds interesting

Hi, there you are (Herm)... I was getting worried.
I can't remember what it was initially, that got me interested in the Habsburgs. Perhaps it had something to do with the cover and the fact it looked like Marie Antoinette. Sure enough I found out she WAS a Habsburg (either Mother or Father's side).
Last year I started reading it, but got sidetracked when deciding to read THIS instead:

So I will pick up where I left off on this history book. To answer your question, yes it does seem to be rather interesting. In the beginning it describes a battle that took place in medieval times and the Habsburg soldiers carried with them 13' swords. Yes, that's feet - not inches. o.O

I'll have to look into it. I've read about Bobby Mackeys too, my mom likes those ghost stories a lot and that place seems ****ed up.

If you're looking for something good on Kings and Queens, there's these two

These are really great reads, and pretty short and not at all dry, if you have an e-reader, I can PM you the e-book files!

^ A friend of mine read those and highly recommended them. Now I have even more reason to finally get around to these.

They're really good IMO, I tried to read Antonia Fraser's bio of Marie Antoinette but it didn't really catch my interest. I'm really into historical fiction, though. I've read a tonne of books about the Boleyns & Henry the 8th. If you need any recs lemme know. Or you can lurk my goodreads, haha

I've read that one (but I loved it) and another, thicker one (older), that is probably more historically accurate including what she was wearing up to the weeks before the guillotine. She had on black tights w/ plum-color heels.

You said once something about Queen Katherine of Aragon, what was it?
She was married once before to King Arthur, but he died of a virus.

Did she really wear that to the guillotine? Crazy

Did I? I don't remember! But yes I know that.
I feel bad for Queen Katherine, but the whole situation was ****ed up in general, Henry was such an egotistical prat. Have you read The Autobiography of Henry the 8th with Notes from His Fool, I think it was?
