Ian Hunter's tour diary of Mott The Hoople's American tour in 1972, with cameos from Frank Zappa, David Bowie & Keith Moon.
This book was also the first ever autobiography written by someone in a rock band apparently.

Normally you would, but It was written after his death so...

I know, right? You would think that would be a biography but in this case Clayborne Carson took Dr. King's books, articles, essays, personal letters, and unpublished manuscripts and put them together in a connecting story and it's written in a first person narrative so you get the feeling like King himself is telling the story.

In other words, it wasn't written after his death, it was compiled after his death. And since it's written by King himself, it presumably doesn't end with him describing how he was killed. Ergo he doesn't die at the end.

Okay it was edited after his death not written I used the wrong word sorry. You sure are meticulous :D And if you're being so precise his death is mentiond in the introduction so you were right again he doesn't die at the end, but anyways the joke was funny either way.

I'm almost done with this, and I have a few other books I need to dive into, but It'll take me awhile to get back into reading a lot again. It's not only an assessment of the Angels, but of the media at the time. I'd be lying if this book didn't make me think of getting a motorcycle.

It took far longer than I anticipated but I finally finished Jam, which means I can move onto more interesting things, like this:

The Goblin Corps by Ari Marmell

A ragtag cohort of the various goblin-esque races brought together to bring death to humans. It's supposedly presented in a very black and white, good vs. evil style that slowly fades into shades of grey as you realize the bad guys aren't really that bad and the good guys aren't really that good. I did a little bit of research into the author and found out he wrote some of the supplement books for White Wolf, specifically Gehenna: The Final Night, Victorian Age: Vampire, and a few other smaller books. It's also funny and dark as fuck.
