Dashiell Hammett—Red Harvest (1929)
Just started it but so far it seems like it will be good. I love the fact that, despite being one of the authors who defined private dick fiction, Hammett seems to be crafting a genre-defying story here, at least in terms of the setting.

Operation Paperclip: The Secret Intelligence Program that Brought Nazi Scientists to America

this is coming right off of a very long podcast series about the Eastern Front....which takes "dreadful" to a whole new level

Operation paperclip is one of my favorite American fuck ups....and from what i've heard from the author she really exposes these pieces of shit for what they really were

Just read The Perks of Being A Wallflower and liked it a lot. I was able to identify with Charlie pretty well. However, is it just me or is it there some pretty clear similarities between those abovementioned books?

I just found out that you can document what page you actually are on in the book by looking at your page.
