The title of this 1998 book has aged incredibly poorly but the analysis of how the conflict with Israel functioned as the organizing principle of intra-Arab politics in the 1950-1970s is very impressive.

i finished Xenos, book one of the Eisenhorn quadrilogy, yesterday and have started the second short story, called Missing in Action.

i am also re-reading the Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy and will be start re-reading The Restaurant at the End of the Universe as soon as i finish.
