The Beast has always been one of my favourite Marvel characters, I like the contast between his appearance and personality. Plus, he is blue.

Cyclops is overrated imo. He has cool powers but his character is such a douchebag, ruins it for me.

Yeah, serious Type-A personality on Cyclops. But deadly laser beams for eyes is definitely cool.

As for Jean Gray or whatever persona she was using at that time-she's okay albeit a bit bland. The storylines wouldn't go far without her though.

Yeah, she was 'Marvel Girl' (of all the names they could've chosen) at the time ('86). I think even in the comic most of the writers had the other characters just call her 'Jean'

She changes name far too much, it's ludicrous. I usually just call her Jean too.

I think the big thing when the first X-Factor title came out was that X-Men had become so convoluted that people "demanded" (as you can see on the cover) the original X-Men team to be re-united. So, she was Marvel Girl back in the first days of X-Men and they wanted as much of the original stuff in there as possible. The outfits are pretty bad because they were going for nostalgia and these were sort of like the original X-Men costumes.

Yeah that makes sense. The originals are better, they have some prety ridiculous ones in later days. Marrow ffs.

cant wait for the american version aparently its going to run in the english tv - which is going to be good just in case cheryl is gonna become a judge or a sidekick - im just glad im going to be able to see her over in america - english fans starting to miss her a bit
