Doctor Strange
Nothing special, but entertaining. Also felt pretty rushed.

Yes to all, but as a comic book dweeb all the positive feelings were probably amplified ten-fold. Kinda loved the movie even if it isn't a favorite.

It was fun and that's all I demand from a movie like that.
Could have been more, but didn't have to.

You gotta admit, the ending was pretty creative for a comic book movie.

Yeah, that loop was a cool idea.

Love Actually (2003).

This did not live up to its own potential. I had really hoped for something more like Crazy, Stupid, Love where the individual stories intersect in the end to deliver a clever pay-off but no, it was basically just a series of cheesy Christmas shorts. None of the characters had enough screentime to really experience meaningful transformations, and I don't understand why Rowan Atkinson has top billing for something he's in for ~30 seconds.

Shame, because I feel like the script was good, but after a handful of re-writes it could have been great, and I think they could have had a more highly stylized director. Between the pop songs, the A-list cast, and the cheesy romances, it was a very "commercial" film.
