I wondered if it was tongue in cheek, but I have a feeling it wasn't.
That said, I can't really see where they could possible take it. They should leave it alone, it's a pretty solid trilogy. |

I think this would've been a great movie if it was like an hour and a half. There were some undeniably creepy(that guy being at his house and the party at the same time) and undeniably awesome(the car chase/beatdown like an hour and a half in) moments but overrall it just felt overdone. It was still decent and I'm glad I watched it I guess I'll give it a 6/10. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg This is the first time I've seen the whole movie, and I really liked it. Man I think that Sean guy might be the least likeable character I've ever seen in any movie though holy ****. 9/10 http://www.genreonline.net/Genre_files/SLCPUNKLARGE.jpg I thought this was a pretty sweet movie, overall really funny and with a good, almost bitter ending. I really enjoyed it. 8/10 |

I was guessing each plot point as I watched as it was so full of cliches but it had some decent set pieces and a nice underlying sense of humour. The goat is killer. I would watch it again I think. |

So I saw this instead: http://screencrave.frsucrave.netdna-...3-10-11-kc.jpg Actually pretty funny. Nowhere near a top tier comedy, but I got a lot of laughs out of it. |
I wonder how much like Bad Santa that movie is like. Not that it's a bad
thing mind you, as Bad Santa was pretty good. Anyhoo this was my latest film. http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...ox0k1BLgZQ&t=1 Pretty enjoyable neo-noir indie flick. Well written with a fun "whodunit" feel to it. The use of the old hardboiled detective jargon made it a little hard to follow at some parts, but it never got in the way too much. I would definitely recommend it if you like mysteries. |

Jargon aside, it was pretty faithful to the film-noir genre, especially in the score. Film noir from the '40's doesn't really have the slow saxophone playing people often associate with the genre, at least not in any of the ones I've seen. Definitely a good movie from the last decade that more people need to see.
Anyhow here's my latest catch. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...heatposter.jpg Near Dark 1987 vampire western with a scene stealing performance from Bill Paxton. No pretty boy vampires in this one (well except the protagonist...), just a bunch of monsters out looking to survive by any means possible. Definitely a film you want to keep an eye on if you're into vampire flicks, but aren't interested in where the genre is now. |
