Harry Potter, at least the movies, walks some weird line between epic fantasy and teenage melodrama, which is probably meant to be charming, but in the films feels awkward and cheap.

I agree. I think they rushed the film adaptations because they didn't want the Harry Potter fad to lose momentum(the 1st movie came out two years before the fifth book). I bet they get remade again in 10-20 years and they do them better.

INCEPTION.

That was the most mind-bending movie I have ever seen in MY ENTIRE LIFE.
My brain actually hurt trying to keep up with what was a dream and what was reality.
Spoiler for Spoiler:
Even though the ending made it look like the whole movie was a dream...

10/10

Paranormal Activity 2.

Funny in a creepy way. Only the ending was really "Oh my God, I can't believe that just happened." But mostly funny,
Spoiler for Spoiler:
especially when the mom was getting dragged down the stairs by the demon/ghost thing. But that may be just my demented personality.

4/10 (only because it wasn't really that scary)

Insidious.

That was the creepiest movie I have ever seen, EVER.
10/10 (even though I don't like scary movies all that much, Insidious was very well done and the ending made me go "BOIIINNNG" like some Hanna-Barbera cartoon.
Spoiler for Spoiler:
Plus Fire-face popping out of a closet with his face a few inches from the camera scared the s**t out of me..

I just came home from seeing Harry Potter. I thought it was good, however I think it may have been a little rushed (in terms of the release date).

Yeah i don't think these movies will age well at all.Did anyone else think the cgi already looked kind-off dated in it?

Not terrible by any means, but the dragon in the film looks like rubber.

yeah it was pretty good, it surprised me a bit. I think I ended up liking it because it was almost like a mystery as well.

One of the better Ryan Reynolds movies. Way better than "The Proposal", which everyone seemed to love the crap out of for some reason.

I think it was one of those films you enjoy while you're watching, then in hindsight you realise it was pretty terrible. But meh, one of the better films of its kind.

Pretty great. Surreal, intense and unsettling. By far the best thing I've seen from Peter Jackson. 3.5/5

4 unlikeable characters shagging each other, changing their minds about who they really love/want, sharp tongued dialogue that doesn't have any charm or subtlety to it. I guess it was worth a watch, and it kept me pretty engaged but it was awfully forgettable and one I definitely wouldn't return to. 1.5/5

Extremely creepy. I love it when a film just has an atmosphere about it. I know I liked it, but I'm not quite sure how much. 3/5 or a 3.5/5, I think. Very entertaining stuff and its dated 80s aesthetic only adds to it.

total pile of crap, until he ingests the drugs in the final half hour, nothing commendable about it except the floating snowflakes that is ubiquitous 3/10
