And, it only gets better on subsequent viewings. At least I think so, although I do make sure enough time passes so that I don't get tired of it. ;)

Consider also checking out The Fisher King by Terry Gilliam. That one and Brazil are his two finest, I think.

Time Bandits, what a movie! It's fascinating that someone (Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin) could write something so silly and make a film out of it. For those who haven't seen it, it is, roughly speaking about a boy who joins up with a gang of robbers (all midgets) travelling through time using a map they stole from God while working for him. It's completely bizarre and sprinkled throughout with silly and often quite dark humour. Not brilliant by any means, but entertaining and it's such a curiosity that film buffs who haven't seen it will want to anyways. My favourite part is the brilliant ending.

^ I have been eagerly awaiting my second viewing of Brazil. I figure six months is a good interval.

The Graduate

Was ok. Obviously I take 'greatest classic ever to classic' films with a grain of salt. Not that it was bad, just hurt from some outdated aspects like scenes that go on a 30-40 seconds longer than they need to. (when every scene does this it really starts to bog a film down.)

Saw it in the theater when it first came out, loved it ever since. :)

The Human Centipede 2.

Yeah, it is fun and I tend to watch it again every few years, this time because it came out on blu-ray. It gives me an incentive (I think the word is) to re-watch a lot of old favourites :)

Just seen Four Lions. Bloody brilliant film. I'm always a fan of the comedies that just have the odd laugh with mostly subtle jokes, and it really achieved that.

Another ****ed up masterpiece by Ken Russell. Of course, same traits. Story centered around a composer(Strauss), covering a controversial aspect of the composer's life(Anti-antisemitism/flirtation with the Nazis), includes heavy blasphemy(horny nuns replacing the cross with a swastika), extreme violence, sex, and is told in interpretive sequences.

This, of course, isn't as good as his film works, and is of the line of his TV movies. It's not bad, though. It's funny to see his weird humor in play(Strauss's wife, and a nazi soldier biting dual ends of a vienersnitzel during one of the music numbers). Very much a precursor to the amazing weird **** he did later, and possibly the only film I've ever seen entirely in red chroma style.

As much as I loved it, I can. Some rather out-of-place characters and a pretty anticlimactic bit in the middle spring to mind. It was a great film though. The bit at the start where the boy follows through and celebrates having a shit always makes me laugh.
