You can't get any better than this one. Classic favorite that never fails to make me feel good. One of the best happy endings in film history.

I have tried 3 times to sit through this and never managed it once. Can't stand it

Hell thats a great war film, one of the best I've ever seen. Nick Nolte was superb in that film.

It's funny because one of my co-workers who is in to movies said the same thing. I have a thing for alien movies so I guess it was easier for me to sit through it but the final act is well worth the wait. Just great cinema there.

Somebody described this as the Australian Magnolia. No. No it wasn't. That being said I actually did enjoy the film. The acting was good and the story was well written. I just wasn't floored by it. I also ended up thinking the main actor was a prick and that the two women were whores. I couldn't get attached to them at all. Camera work was nice.

I never got around to seeing this until just now. I like Mike Judge's humor and found this to be somewhat funny. I didn't understand why it got such a bad screen test and was barely marketed. Fox were a bunch of jerks for that one. Judge has made them plenty of money in his career and this film really wasn't that bad. I even laughed during some parts.

6/10

I also watched two of David Lynch's short films, Boat and Absurda. Both were retarded. I'll never say that anything by David Lynch is bad because I respect his mind and attempt at trying new things, but these two just made no sense.

To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar

watched this in Gender Studies last week. it was...interesting to say the least. i found it pretty funny and delightfully cheesy at points, and the way that Wesley Snipes, Patrick Swayze and John Leguizamo are playing drag queens throughout the whole thing was pretty silly fun. Even so, the plot was pretty predictable and alot of the characters flat as pancakes, but it was still some lighthearted fun to be had.

Imagine what a hybrid of Eraserhead and Akira would be like and you have a pretty good sense of the overall feel. Definitely interesting but I wish the director hadn't chosen to make the movie in English since, for me, all it did was highlight how awful the acting was.

Great movie. I have an appreciation of insanity, if you can call Donnie insane.

I think he grew insane to counter the fact he couldn't save his girlfriend from death. He realized the only way out was death by airplane. I really enjoyed it and the time traveling aspect brought out my inner dork. Don't waste your time with the second film S. DARKO, straight to video and atrocious.

Astonishing true story let down by some atrocious acting and (unusually for me) unnecessary swearing that just didn't sit right with the film. The last half of the film certainly kept me interested but it could have been so much better.

I wasn't expecting much from this film and it turned out that way although it certainly wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The slight American twang from all the actors concerned even the British actors annoyed me and when one character asked why he was using the Roman tongue my blood boiled over as they were speaking English which wasn't the Roman language but you have to expect that for a mainstream film unfortunately.

Have to agree with you on Sanctum, it was a huge letdown after reading about it on IMDB. The underwater scenes were pretty great at points, but i came away unimpressed with the movie.
