Body Heat (1981)

Pretty awesome little neo-noir film starring a young John Hurt and Kathleen Turner, directed by the writer of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi and ghost financed by George Lucas. The dialog is pretty well done, even if it does go a little into soap opera territory, but in terms of delivering on a film-noir experience, the movie definitely exceeds expectations.

My friend hadn't seen this movie so we watched it at my new place last night. This is my absolute favourite sci-fi movie and we ended up talking about it for an hour after it was finished. Seriously if you have not seen this movie and are interested in a show don't tell approach to storytelling, you really need to see this movie. For an added bonus there's a lot of scenes where Juliette Lewis is naked.
Super late, yeah, but just had to say I too absolutely love this movie. My mom introduced me to it years ago and I've watched it many times. Good call.

My rating 0/10. This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I'm not really sure what they were trying to accomplish with it, but whatever it was, they have failed miserably. My only reaction to this was facepalm.
I thought this movie was great. One of the better horror movies to come out recently, imo.

Read this book and been very curious about the movie. Will definitely check it now.

FINALLY got around to watching the Minutemen documentary "We Jam Econo"
I already loved the band and now I have a better understanding of why.

Peace to Dennes Boon; Another young, dead genius.

I just saw this one the other night...

Was a very captivating and informational watch throughout, and I appreciate its more modern look and feel compared to other films of its era. That said, I found the way they tied it all up to be a bit lackluster and anti-climactic. 7.5/10

Chemical Brothers - Don't Think

Decent concert performance with some outstanding light effects.

Thanks to Bob for putting me onto this. Quality stuff.

Magic Mike

Jesus, did I really watch all of this? Contender for worst movie I've ever seen, and I skipped the stripping / party bits which probably took up 30 minutes. There were no characters to speak of, and the chick who plays the young dudes sister is such an awful actress (and not hot, who did she bang for this part [Cody Horn]).

DO NOT WATCH, unless you like guys I guess and wanna watch some super softcore strippage.
