The Transporter (US 2002), which has some of the maddest scenes ever. There's a fight scene where our hero (Jason Statham) spills a drum of oil and jumps about on bicycle pedals and another where he sucks the air from a dead bad guy's lungs, while under water. Statham is the most dangerous man alive and can kill twenty bad guys on a bus without breaking a sweat, and yet there is a fight scene among some storage containers, where the No. 1 bad guy pushes him over and just walks away. Statham's accent is always confusing to me. He is from Norfolk, but where he is supposed to be from in his films is a mystery. I suppose Transporter is not meant to be cinematic art and it is fast paced, or as the press prefer to say, 'high-octane'.

I don't very often read Yahoo! headlines, but there was one recently titled 'Star Wars Episode VII: New Director Revealed'. It turns out to be JJ Abrams, sgnificant for the Lost TV series and the revamped Star Trek film. Most comments seemd to be concerned with the less-than-popular Jar Jar Binks character Another thing I don't do often is comment, but I asked if Abrams was resurrecting the Ewoks and got nothing but two thumbs down for my troubles. Oh, well.

I saw a lot of similarities between this and The Ward, but i'm sure that's the way most psychological thrillers would play out. I really enjoyed this one though, it was very smart, and the choice of actors was well done. The acting was sometimes a little over the top, but overall, a top notch movie.

The Imposter

Overall a great documentary with a completely realistic ending which I loved albeit left wanting more. I'm glad they didn't take a side with either story and kept it unbiased. For anybody wanting to see this one please do yourself a favor and go in knowing as little as possible to insure yourself a better viewing experience.

Searching for Sugarman

Another great documentary. Every single one of you should watch this movie based purely on the fact that Rogriguez put out two wonderful albums that nobody heard except for South Africa. It's also a movie that has just a great feel good vibe pretty much all the way through.

Castaway on the Moon

Another unique and fun Korean film about a sad business man that tries to kill himself in the Han but ends up washing ashore on an island under an overpass. He's in the heart of a city but all alone. Funny and like I said unique plus it's on Netflix.

Let it Ride

Raise your hand if you've seen this movie? Not many of you eh? One of the most unappreciated comedies ever. Dreyfuss is hysterical.

Hell of a film. Infuriated by the critics who scoffed the film for being "too depressing". Wack contrived notion that a film maker has to somehow leave you feeling warm or else the film lacks merit. I like everything by Alejandro González Iñárritu I've seen, Amores Perros being my favorite. Of course the same critics praise the cheap sentimentality of "Babel"- film reviews are really in Brad Pitts pocket.

Great pure hollywood flick. The overall depiction of alcoholism is cliche, and gets beaten to death but still remains somewhat tasteful. An amiable, albeit bland film that makes sure the whole family can empathize with, what more can you expect from Robert-"forrest gump"-zemeckis. The prevalence of god and all that christian ethereal crap got old real quick too. Certainly well worth watching, the crash scene is very gripping.

I think Biutiful is his best. It's so damn moving, and I love Bardem.

The Passion of Joan of Arc

A ****ing masterpiece. Such emotion emitted from Maria Falconetti. It's a shame this is her only movie they ever did. What a movie though. Probably one of the most visceral performances ever. It's the best silent movie I've ever seen.

Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai

I loved the sh*t out of this movie. RZAs' soundtrack. The conversations between Ghost Dog and French Raymond. The mob boss spitting Flava Flav lyrics. The perfect screenplay. The cartoons that all the characters watch. I loved it. Definitely my favorite Jarmusch film and a wonderful pick me up after how disappointed I was with Dead Man. I'm going to buy this on dvd as soon as I can.

thank you i thought i was the only one perceptive enough to notice dead man is a ****e movie

kinda joking but not really

ghost dog is ill, surprised jarmusch wrote that screenplay. Managed to feel authentically inner city without being trite

this was pretty good. Stacked cast, however every single piece of dialogue is either directly about poker or is some analogy for poker. Some glaring plot holes too. Warm film the way only matt damon circa 90's can deliver
