The crime isn't that bad especially if you live in the town area near the actual theater where it is non existent.

As for Grand Budapest...

"OH THIS F*CKING ****OT!"
i'm really jealous of the fact that this is a movie i really want to see.....and probably won't for at least three to four weeks.....the fact that you got to see it with the director....and that particular director.....just boils my blood

I guess i'll just have to hold onto my memories of seeing Inland Empire with a long Q&A with David Lynch ....although that was for $50

as for Grand Budapest....

"Holy Fuck.
Whats the meaning of this shit!?"
^that scene right there is probably the best thing i've seen all year

War of the Arrows (2011)
Really enjoyable South Korean action movie, especially the second half which was basically one long rescue and chase sequence. I think this is a case where the editing and sound design really deserve a lot of credit because the way tension was built up and action delivered was pretty fantastic. If you like this kind of thing, this movie's well worth your while.

The Manchurian Candidate(2002)

Very good film. It was so close to being an amazing film. Movies rarely effectively blend the line between actual occurrence and delusional paranoia. For about 3/4 of the way the movie does a great job of being both a standalone depiction of someone possible delusional schizophrenia and a narrative portrayal of the all too real increasing corporate influence on modern politics.

Unfortunately, the final quarter felt very contrived in how it ended. A movie that had some scope became bogged down and had to tie down the loose ends hastily. The protogonists (immediatly new) love interest conveniently works for the fbi. The senator of course believes a man who shows up to his door talking about implants in human bodies and immediately because, as the movie so forcefully shoves down your throat, he is the only honest man left in the government or something like that.

Oh god, I love that movie.

My favorite part of that movie is when Christopher (the main prawn/alien) says the f word. I lost it when that happened.

I still consider that movie to be the best "alien" movie ever made.
