Oh, heck yeah. That's a favorite I forgot to mention. I love how Ang Lee made the supposedly unfilmable movie so packed with story and yet, so uniquely visual. The underwater scene was brilliant.

Excellent movie. Did ya ever read up on how much the movie The Matrix "borrowed" from that flick?

Matrix City: A Photographic Comparison of The Matrix and Dark City | ElectroLund

How many movies did the Matrix get inspired by? I know about Dark City and Ghost in The Shell, but I've heard there's more, but I don't know which ones...

I know Serial Experiments Lain had a small influence on it. Not a movie, but something.

Touch of Evil.

I hear it's hilarious

What'd you think? I believe I posted about the movie in this thread but that'd be like 50 pages ago by now. I thought it was good overall but uneven and that the Seth Rogen parts blew away the other two character's respective parts

Really? I didn't know that.

Just saw Deadpool, and everything I could have asked for was in that movie.

It was alright. Some scenes were really good, the type of humor I enjoy from these Rogen/Goldberg comedies but some of it fell flat. If I had to rate it, 6.5/10

Naked by Mike Leigh.

Excellent imo.

Great Expectations

Fantastic BBC adaptation of Charles Dickens' timeless novel. Seen a few versions over the years but this is the best yet.

It's this version and is available on Netflix I believe.
