Speaking of Marvel movies, is there any love out there for Blade?

Okay now you're REALLY wrong. I never quite understood why Tobey McGuire got so much slack for that role, I still think he was pretty convincing all things considered. Regardless, Homecoming should kick some major ass despite the horrible name choice/logo they used when they revealed it.
MaGuire would have been fine(ish) if he'd actually done anything with the part, or at least if the writing had gone anywhere with Peter Parker's character. But he was never anything more than a two-dimensional geek stereotype. Garfield's Parker may have been poorly written, but at least the actor brought the character to life. I also give Garfield extra credit cause he seems to be just a plain better actor than MaGuire, which lends credence to my belief that he did a better job at understanding the character regardless of writing woes.

And no matter what caveat you can apply to the writing of the Peter Parker character, Garfield was far and away the better quipper. He just was Spider-Man. At all times I believed that this was the guy who was spouting all the cocky, corny one-liners from the comics. And that means a ****-ton.

Of course. Everyone loves Blade. Even if only as a mindless action movie and showcase for Wesly Snipe one-liners, everyone loves Blade.

I'm actually rewatching Age of Ultron as we type, and I must say, even if I don't end up liking it as much as I did the first time, it seems as solid a waypoint between the previous and next movies as The Avengers was, or Captain America: Civil War seems to be. If there's one thing Marvel knows how to do well, even with its lesser movies, it's how to bridge the gap to the next big ****ing hit, and for comic books, that's almost half the battle.

I'm currently watching it as well, and it's making me miss Hulk & Thor a lot more than I thought I did.

MARVEL GIVE US WORLD WAR HULK ALREADY.

You're a tasteless ****. James Spader's Ultron is one of the best characters in all of comic book movies, and yet you insist on being a dumb, useless child molester?

OMG. I'm just watching the bit after the very first Ultron confrontation, when Iron Man and Captain America are first at odds, and Iron Man is all like, all that alien **** is going to **** on us, and Cap is like, "So we'll lose, together", and it just gives me a Captain America boner. I know it's dumb and cheesy, but it's everything that superheroes should be.

I never thought I'd be a Cap fan, but here I am, with a bunch of unread Captain America comics on my computer that I fully intend to read. I could give a **** about my country, but my country's superhero has my full allegiance.

This we can agree on. I really never thought I would be all that crazy about him after seeing The First Avenger, but his character just keeps getting better and better to the point I was 110% team Cap for Civil War.

He's everything that Superman SHOULD be, but without the contrived conviction, and with a far more interesting storyline of being a fish out of water. Who cares if some guy who's been raised as a Kansas American for his entire life turns out to be an alien? But some guy who spent the first two to three decades of his life in the first half of the 20th century all of a sudden finding himself in modern times? That's fascinating character study.
