If you view it as a comedy, it's actually quite enjoyable. But yes, Whalberg's acting was pathetic at best.

![]() I thought this was a pretty good movie - it really makes you think about the implications of genetic profiling. ![]() This was fucking bizarre but its mood was oddly engaging. The fact that I was flat out exhausted (end of the week) whilst watching it probably made it trippier. ![]() I didn't have high expectations for this one before seeing it at the cinema (mainstream romantic comedy, yawn), but it surprised me. It was a bit soppy as expected but still somewhat funny/clever. Gervais had a pretty unusual role here but I feel he did a good job. ![]() This was a beautiful film and the soundtrack is great too. I'd like to watch it again to better understand it.

Last Movie seen: Green Street Hooligan.
I can't help but think of lord of the rings when I watch this movie. Surprizingly enough the movie was enjoyable. The movie is not for everyone due to its shallow plot and random acts of violence. But overall I enjoyed watching an American kid that moves to the UK. While in the UK he learns about SOCCER and UK's version of Gangs. *** 1/2 out of ***** |

Haha news to me, I liked the randomness and a change of pace from american movies. I am really finding alot of hyped up american movies bad. I know I'm going to take flak for this, but the newest Batman movie I thought was bad in comparison to the hype it got. Same could be said for the last 2 Bond movies. |

It's the best film he's starred in, by far, and my favorite Kaufman, right after Being John Malkovich...so yeah, it's fucking fantabulous. You might be surprised to see him downplay his usual antics though...
