Watched Forrest Gump and Saving Private Ryan back to back the other night. Was emotionally exhausted afterwards. 5.5 hours of stellar movie making, acting, and gut punch story telling.

Did a double last week and watched the new Star Wars and Assassins Creed - enjoyed both of them. I can see the Assassins Creed stuff becoming a sequel from how they left but and enjoyed Rogue One as a standalone film within the franchise.

I saw Bye Bye Man last week and even though I know it was like a slenderman-esque ripoff. It was still pretty good. I didn't have high expectations going into it but the main character's acting was so good. My friend that he was over the top but his acting did pull me out of it a couple of times. Get your good acting skills out of my trashy horror movie. That was the only off putting thing for me.

Half of those are in the theater. But I'll go anytime someone asks.

i'm taking my 14 year old nephew out for sushi and a movie on Sunday for his birthday.....he made the mistake of telling me that i should choose the movie....my immediate answer was "do you like musicals?"....we decided it best that he choose the film.....as of now this is his choice

i may just leave him in the theater and go see La La Land

La La Lands great and all, but I think you should see a therapist. That's way too much obsession for any human to endure.
