So I didn't know that a I Spit On Your Grave 3 was made.

Decided to watch it but fell asleep on it. Currently re-watching at the moment.

They decided to use the same actress from the first remake and continue her story in the 3rd one. I vaguely remember the second one but I know it was an entirely different girl.

Yeah.
The alternate score is so off the chain it's ridiculous. Atmosphere through the roof. And those backdrops are just the bomb.

Pretty much what I was gonna say. It's amazing just how few movies there are that combine non-schlocky space sci fi with top notch horror.

The visuals in Caligari are just god damn ****. Seriously the twisted streets, angular buildings, just hallucinatory all around. I really wanna see more films like that if possible. Also a gnarly musical score would be preferred, the contemporay one is like chamber music and jazz gone too far.

That movie's ****ed up. (100% compliment)

If you can find it you should watch the 1989 "sequel"....
It's basically about Dr Caligari's granddaughter and her sociopathic sex research....it's been several years since I've seen it but it was a favorite in the early 90s

Captain Fantastic
Viggo Mortensen plays a mountain man raising six children off the grid in the woods somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. Their mother is away in the hospital for vague mental health reasons, tragedy strikes, and Viggo is forced to take his kids out into civilization for the first time. I liked it for the most part, not many complaints outside of the expected pitfalls of a movie dependent on half a dozen child actors. Plenty of themes and moral dilemmas to chew on, great music, and great scenery.

Lion
Adapted true story about a 5-year old boy that gets lost in India, thousands of miles from his home, and learns to survive on the streets of Calcutta before ultimately being adopted by an Australian couple. 25 years later the advances of the internet reveal an opportunity to find his way back home. I thought it was pretty amazing, wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did, not sure I'll ever watch it again but I can't think of anything to really complain about.

I watched arrival this weekend. I thought it was great but my friend I saw it with wasn't keen. Maybe some of the story is a little weak but I thought it was beautifully shot.

It takes some serious investment to be able to follow the extremely complex, and non-linear, storyline.

Glad you dug it.

Welcome aboard BTW.

I mean, it's non-linear but come on it's hardly complex.
