Re-watched Frailty in honor of Bill Paxton. Not only did he direct it but I still think it's his best acting in a movie. If you've never seen this flick you should check it out. Crazy mind f*ck sh*t.

Spoiler for Spoiler:
I'm convinced that Paxton really was visited by Angels. 100%.

Damn, think about all of the iconic movies that guy was in. RIP.

American History X

First time in about a decade. A flawed movie because of the conflicts between the people behind it, but still incredibly powerful and totally relevent today. One of the worst gut punch endings ever.

Norton is brilliant as always. It's too bad that Furlong went down a bad road. He was so good in this.

^ top 10 of all-time

on a somewhat related note i finally got around to watching Green Room last night. great film, great acting, and what really takes it to the next level is the gore. what it might lack in action early on it makes up for in the final 3rd with a wicked pace. it was also incredibly pleasing watching so many neo-nazis get their **** kicked in.

One of my favorite endings too.

Saw Logan in theaters. Funny ass movie. I need a comic nerd to explain some things about it though.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.

Just saw that this past weekend myself. I thought it was great - definitely the kind of violent Wolverine movie I was hoping for. Ever wanted to see Wolverine stab somebody in the head? Well, now you get to! Several times! And man, that little girl...she may be scarier than Wolverine.

I'm not sure a comic nerd would help too much with that one - it's roughly based on Old Man Logan. And I do mean roughly because Old Man Logan has to do with supervillains having taken over the country and different territories are controlled by different villains. Logan lives in Hulkland and has to fight off the Hulk and She-Hulk's inbred offspring. Logan took a lot of liberties and a lot of the past in the movie's universe has to be inferred through context clues and exposition.

Get Out

Gotta say that this one is overhyped. I thought that it was well made, funny, and dealt with its themes well, but I was expecting it to be more subtle and original. Plus the last act feels messy and could have been handled a little better. I think the film is more timely than anything and unless Peele's following social demon movies are more solid (which I have faith in, actually) then this won't be the landmark in modern horror that some are making it out to be.

7/10 Very good but there is much room for improvement.

I plan on watching Logan very soon.

If the chick in the poster didn't have scary teeth she'd be a 9. Solid 8 though. Those eyes...
