Truman Show is probably still my favorite Carrey movie

I could never quite get into that but I should give it another watch as it's been a few years.

maybe being surrounded by American "culture" makes it more poignant

Real Time. An amazing lower budjet film about a hitman and a kid whose time is up. Really dry british (i think) humor. with one of the best endings ive seen

I think Liar Liar was funny. I prefer sarcasm to slapstick but he wasn't too disappointing in the 90s

I had really big expectations going into this movie and it really didn't let me down at all. It's the best I've seen this year. But I still need to see Revolutionary Road and I feel like that will take the cake for me.

Quixotic, surreal, touching, melancholic and even a jet of black comedy running through. One man's promise to his friend that he should be buried in his birthplace produces a gem of a movie. First half hour is a little loose but once the 'journey' begins, you are sucked right in. Brilliant cinematography of the Texan landscape by celebrated British cinematographer Chris Menges.
