Take the Money and Run (1969).

It's the second movie Woody Allen ever directed, the oldest movie of his that I've seen and it's the first bad Woody Allen movie I've seen out of more than 20 so far.

Loads of cringey slapstick jokes and poor choices of backing music. It's very much what would happen if Mel Brooks was painfully unfunny and cheesy. Actually I'm not too big a fan of Mel Brooks movies, but they sure beat this farce of a... erh... farce (sorry).

I find his later movies pretty funny, but this is the first time I've seen one of his movies from before Annie Hall. I'm hoping that not all of his oldest movies will be this bad.

Oh come on! Not even the "gun/gub" line? That's bleedin' hilarious! And is that the one with him buying the magazine Orgasm in it? That's great too.

The gun/gub thing would have been funny if that scene wasn't drawn out way past the breaking point. That was sort of a theme in the movie; some allright gags overdone far beyond the point where you already get the joke.

There was a couple gags I laughed at. I liked the one where he and his wife are eating a sandwhich while on the run. Allen's character opens his wallet and takes out what seems like a dollar bill at first. Then you realize it's a slice of ham and he puts it on his toast.

There was another one a bit before that, but I can't recall what it was.

Seeing mother! tonight. No idea what to expect, haven't watched a trailer. J. Laws expressions from the pictures I've seen look good enough for me. And Aronofsky. And the Rosemarys Baby-ish poster.

Hopefully it's as good as Noah.

Yeah and we don't actually need to see her getting molested just because it is a rated r movie. The way they presented that situation was fine enough.

That is the exact opposite genre of movie I'd expect you to be into. Like a Klan member jerking it to white girls ****ing black dudes. Westerns are boring btw.

Young Guns is a lot of fun.

I like a few westerns, but there aren't many in the genre I'd bother rewatching.
I thought Bandidas was a lot of fun.

Seems I tend to like the dumber westerns.

Oh, I didn't realize it was an Aronofsky movie.
