I don't understand how that movie is considered great.

I kinda liked Hellboy a little bit some years ago. Then I watched the sequel and thought it was ****. Went back and watched the first again and didn't like it anymore. Even less mileage with his other movies. Haven't seen Crimson Peak and Pacific Rim.

He's in the easily skippable directors category for me. With Von Trier, I at least suspect I might be missing something one day, even though I usually hate his movies. With Del Toro, I don't feel like there's any chance that I'll find any future movie of his amazing.
