I ended up getting drunk and watching JFK alone in the dark last night.

The Fury (1978)—Once again Brian De Palma stuns me with his amazing gift for ruining an interesting premise by filling a movie full of pointless scenes and poorly developed characters that I don't care about. Hopefully someday I'll learn to just start avoiding his movies. On the plus side the final scene made laugh even though it was apparently supposed to be serious.

I'm currently watching Octaman which is absolutely the best thing ever. I wish I had the suit for Halloween.

I have been wanting to see this movie for a while and gutted that I missed an airing last night but managed to catch it on BBC i Player tonight. Love the urban soundtrack and pleased that it was UK based. The urban speak (innit, sket, blood etc) drove me up the wall but it was a decent attempt at capturing the youth culture at this time regarding social problems.

I have no idea why I bothered watching Kidulthood. I think I started watching it and then became so consumed with hatred and rage that I felt compelled to sit through its entire running time beating my television with a plimsoll. There's enough of these tossers sitting on the backs of buses and drinking in parks without giving them a feature length film.

That's what I last watched. It was pretty poor. It was difficult to get behind Ali when the film seemed so adamant in making you believe he was a complete and utter arsehole.

Well that is what the film was pertaining to. It's a natural way of life to be that way and whether we find the characters deplorable or not, the absence of glorification was a plus point. It was much better than I thought and I think that you should have given it more time. My own son is is the same age so I wanted to watch it with that in mind.

I know, I know. But it was actually pretty good, and the end always makes me cry.

Ok...so I saw this on TV and decided to give it another go. I still think it sucks, but I will say the shooting spree at the end was pretty kick ass.

I think I'm the only person in the world who liked this movie a lot. It was just so... entertaining. Ridiculous? Yes. But so very entertaining. And it really filled me full of nice Chicago nostalgia.
