I think one of the big flaws was basing it all around Blade Runner and Coronation Street. It was funny in places but, like you said, nowhere near as good as past episodes.

The talk about the new Predator movie got me rooting through my DVD's and watch this last night. It holds up pretty damn well. A bit of a classic.

Definitely. I still love that movie even though I've seen it dozens of times. One of the things that I especially love about it, and which has aged surprisingly well, is the score. It adds a huge amount to the tension in the movie IMO.

Without sounding like some old codger in a rocking chair, they just don't make scores like this these days and I was listening intently last night with a view to finding it.

For a film that's 23 years old it stands up well and it doesn't fall into the usual action movie cliches, especially in the last 20 mins.

Not bad. I'm liking it. It doesn't dramatise W, as if he's very deep in essence, neither does it show him as an all time idiot.
I wonder how Oliver Stone was able to make a movie about a man that he loathes that much. It was surprisingly objective.

Predator is really nothing like either of those movies so I have no idea.
