Role Models was one of them, shit but entertaining enough.

I enjyoed Dead Poets Society. It had a nice sentiment there, having literature change a few young boys lives. I thought it was good but not everyone's cup of tea. I wouldn't say it was up its own arse though.

I thought Dead Poets was well up its own arse. I wont reference specific moments because i hate that with films i havent seen but nope, not for me.

I just thought it sounded funny, even though this place is just as good for finding new music as it is for films. Just go into the favourite film thread and go through a films that come up a lot with different members and watch them. Then branch out and watch other ones from that thread and you've already expanded your film taste.

But yeah, it's one of them - each to their own. I can understand why some would think 'pretentious shit' but I thought it had a really nice sentiment to it, the whole wanting to break free through modern arts. And the lads just needed someone to show them the way.

Superb opening and the credits were inspired but the film definitely lost it's way in the middle and despite no major flaws, not once do you feel any sense of dread despite the precarious nature of the characters.

Certainly not awful at all but it's not a patch on Shaun Of The Dead (which was obviously a big influence).

No...I'm saying my recent-film-seen-noobishness is brought on by my dominating interest in music.

Ah, I see. How come they are mutually exclusive? Can't you have a strong interest in both? :D

A lot of people feel music >>> films.

I hold them both in the same regard, I find it hard to choose between them.

I watched Casablanca last night with my mother.
Fantastic film. There's this one scene when they film Bogart's shadow moving around and getting something out of the cupboard which was effing brilliant.
