I heard this was a steaming pile of dog's mess. The DVD cover look's atrocious and the kiddie friendly rating put's me off big time. It also proclaims FROM THE PRODUCERS OF UNDERWORLD, that definitely put me off!

RUNNING SCARED
Paul Walker has not particulary inspired me (Fast and The Furious/Into the Blue), but he was engaging in this hard ássed retro influenced actioner. Walker is a small time gangster who loses a hand gun that could implicate his gangster boss's. So a frantic 18 hours ensues as he traces the gun. The violence and dialogue hark back to the golden age of the 70's and 80's where the violence is brutal. There are a few too many sub plots, and the director is sometimes accused of over indulgence in the visual stakes, but this was still a 2hour ride.

Is the aspect ratio accommodating enough for a pair of 36 ff's? (if it is send me a copy!)

I actually thought it would suck too. I had read the book back in like 9th grade. But I was suprised with the way it turned out.

^Well I also love anything that has to do with vampires and/or werewolves. Little fetish-thingy of mine I guess. So maybe I'm bias towards the quality of the film.

UmmI just watched Farce of the penguins on the 2nd of this month..... OMG!!! I almosted p!$$ed my pants, because it was soo... funny!!!
So totally worth watching!!.... I don't know about buying..... okay i would buy it, And I would still laugh just as hard as I did the first time...

Really good movie, I give it a 9.9 out of 10.....(reason being that it is not a 10 is because if I had kids I would send them out of the room,.... maybe even out of the house, it's has ALOT OF SEXUAL COMMENTS.... but, besides that it was soo funny!!)

If you love vampires check out NEAR DARK. It is over twenty years old, but it is so different to the usual vampire film. It also has a great score from TANGERINE DREAM.

London To Brighton.

A low budget British film that has the critics raving. Well played, performed and shot, but nothing new story wise at all. The ending was not exactly what I expected, but my thinking was along those lines. The film concerns two women fleeing a crime and the aftermath that ensues. Both girls are involved (knowingly or not) in prostitution, and the film paints a suitably squalid picture.

I was dissapointed. I enjoyed it, but it never connnected 100% on an emotional level.

I also bought at the same time:

PORCUPINE TREE:ARRIVING SOMEWHERE (WOW! watched this already!)
ALFRED HITCH****-6 DISC BOXSET
THE PRESTIGE
CRANK
CHILDREN OF MEN
PANS LABYRINTH.

That should keep me quiet for a while!
