A classic TV series from the 80's that treated the Robin Hood story with a touch of fantasy and it also had a great score by one of my faves Clannad. A 3 disc set for £3 too. Well pleased.

As you can probably tell, I am on a bit of a movie fest recently.
Either way, recent purchases...

Sympathy for Mr Vengeance, form the director of Old Boy

Classic Japanese movie, 4 ghost stories over 3 hours.

A Dirty Carnival - Just a random purchase, don't know much about it

As I said in the other thread, a very may as well purchase.

I can't wait for this to pop through the door and a review will be in the Horror thread quite soon after! Cult classic.

One of the best Japanese films I've seen.

Bought for like $57, less than 10 bucks a movie is pretty good for blu ray

Das Boot - The Mini Series (2 Disc Uncut Version)

Possibly the best war movie ever made.
The version I bought is the TV series and not the film. It's longer and the movie unfolds at a slower pace giving you a more authentic experience of life in a German U-Boat.
And that's exactly what this DVD manages to do...put you right there, claustrophobia and all.
Tense stuff.

i'm confused... because when i picked this up i had no idea it was a serial, sat down to watch it in one sitting and was surprised it went on for over 3 hours... is there a shorter version?
My favourite character is ginger bloke.
