Hell yea Batman.

sleepy jack 01-13-2008 07:17 PM

I am so incredibly stoked for this movie.

tkpb938 01-13-2008 08:43 PM

That looks sick.

I still don't understand how such good movies are made based on comic books, but they always seem to come through.

sleepy jack 01-13-2008 08:49 PM

Because comic books are good...

ItalianStallion 01-15-2008 07:14 PM

This looks so awesome

jackhammer 01-16-2008 02:35 PM

I am not a huge comic book fan, but I loved BATMAN BEGINS. Definitely looking forward to this especially as the same people (bar the female lead) are involved.

under 01-19-2008 10:30 PM

cant wait. ethan, you're going with me to see this. fer sure.

British_pharaoh 01-23-2008 07:59 AM

i'm Batman

simplephysics 04-28-2008 09:52 PM

I love the way they are going to portray Joker, like a disgruntled bum of sorts.

Nosmada 04-28-2008 10:16 PM

i saw the new trailer today, had to do this whole scavenger hunt kinda thing all over downtown toronto, to get a ticket to see it. Looks good.

Far Beyond Driven 05-01-2008 09:37 PM

I ****ing love Batman, he has no powers he just jumps off buildings and throws stuff at you.

simplephysics 05-01-2008 09:46 PM

no powers? being sauve is a superpower. and he has the coolest car known to humankind.

Far Beyond Driven 05-01-2008 10:03 PM

Batman can kick just about everyone's ass.....except Bane :(. Bane broke Batman's back and Azrael took the Bat symbol, but he started killing innocents like the arse hole he is and Bruce Wayyyne comes in and kicks his arse =D

Shiva 05-06-2008 04:11 PM

I'm interested to see how this movie will compete against Iron Man at the box office.

simplephysics 05-06-2008 04:15 PM

Laughable.
The Dark Knight will completely smash Iron Man.

I'm too lazy to fact-check, but I heard Iron Man had one of the highest opening grosses ever.

That also happened with ever movie that already had a cult following, The Dark Knight will top it, there is no doubt in my mind.

simplephysics 07-15-2008 03:21 PM

Holy **** people. THIS MOVIE COMES OUT IN 3 DAYS.

jackhammer 07-15-2008 03:26 PM

....and it does look excellent. That British reserve (Director and stars) keeps the film that little bit more grounded in reality I feel.

I'm extremely excited for this. I'm seeing it with my brother who is a complete Batman superfan (he's got the tattoo to prove it..)

Anyways... Ledger looks brilliant in this. I'm predicting even if he isn't the Oscar nom will still happen.

anarcyst_pye 07-15-2008 04:48 PM

I'M GONNA SEE IT, IT COMES OUT THIS FRIDAY, SWEETNESS. xd

THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO BE AWESOME

Molecules 07-17-2008 07:18 AM

^i actually cried with laughter. Thankyou

Whatsitoosit 07-17-2008 01:01 PM

Batman 2, Batman begins again? that is a joke I hope.

As much as I would love to see this movie asap... I will be one of those who waits until all the pre-sold tickets were used and the crowd dies down. Heath Ledgers performance (based on what I've already seen) doesn't appear to be breathtakingly phenomenal, it looks like he did a very good job at interpreting the joker in his own way. I personally think Cesar Romero was the best looking joker (except for that painted over mustache).

idancetothevu 07-20-2008 03:51 PM

ill
be
seeing
it
a
2nd
time.

heath.was.fantastic.

ProggyMan 07-20-2008 05:15 PM

I saw it just now, it would be better if the guy who played Wayne wasn't so mediocre and if some of the dialogue wasn't so cheesy.

The beginning was painfully slow but after the car chase scene I was able to look past the hokey dialogue. I mean, it least it wasn't as bad as Rambo's new one.

ProggyMan 07-20-2008 05:43 PM

Sorry, but even the action scenes are brought down a little by Christian Bale's horrendous acting.

i've read that he plays it a bit dogged but he's Batman, he's meant to be a moody ****! The accolades quoted in wikipedia are ridiculous. The film's out over here on thursday and I saw Batman Forever and Batman Begins when they came out so. it's going to be amazing. it has to be. or someone's gonna pay

Sparky 07-22-2008 01:25 AM

Don't listen to proggy, he plays a fine batman, way better then George clooney.

WWWP 07-22-2008 01:52 AM

Despite the fact that I was extremely jumpy throughout its course, and I had to cover my eyes several times, I absolutely loved this movie.
Heath Ledger did such an amazing job. I got so excited everytime he came on screen.
But what was up with Batman's growly voice? Definitely not what I want my Batman to sound like... It was almost comical.
Oh, and whoever said Iron Man would bring in more money... psh. Please. Two words: Heath Ledger. It's making bank.

it was to hide his identity dammit >: [!

almost comical?

you get the irony with that line right?

sleepy jack 07-22-2008 01:28 PM

Yeah I thought Christian Bale was kickass in the first. I still haven't seen the second because I'm waiting to see it with a special someone.

sweet_nothing 07-22-2008 01:36 PM

I'm right here buddy :)

The Monkey 07-22-2008 01:46 PM

The movie is the highest ranking movie of all time on IMDb:
IMDb Top 250

It beats The Godfather, it can't be that good, can it? It doesn't premier here until Friday, so I can't watch it yet.

Wtf, I thought it was awesome and all...

..But really? That's got to be a ****ing joke.

Molecules 07-22-2008 05:27 PM

it's Batman fever, it'll die down in the next week when it comes out on DVD. remember when you had to wait at least a year just to be able to rent a new movie?
