I caught an episode of Extreme Logging: Ice Loggers a few weeks ago at a hotel back in Tacoma Washington and I just had to laugh as I was watching it because it reminded me so much of my time at my last lumberyard. You've got the management out with their clipboard just walking around, fancy shoes, pressed pants and a work jacket along with a hard hat and they just walk around, occasionally looking at you then writing something down. Then you've got the safety supervisor driving around trying to be friendly with everyone but at the same time kind of coming off as a douche because he's just this middle management guy. From there you've got the somewhat young guy who's been there for years and is extremely good at his job and has probably turned down opportunities for advancement because of all the extra stress that comes with it. Then you've got some of the younger, ****ier guys who think they're hot shit because they're driving around in heavy machinery (Use to be me) but still occasionally fuck something up. Finally you've got the truck drivers... Oh my lord are a lot of truck drivers a like, incredibly impatient (for good reason), overly sensitive when it comes to their work, and constantly taking stupid risks to avoid fines or get their job done faster. This described my last work place down to a T and I think I'm going to continue watching it just to see if anymore similarities rise up.

Ditto. I think they are hilarious.

Has anyone read any of Clarkson's books?

Only deal with greatness so...

Past; The Sopranos, The Wire, Twin Peaks, Six Feet Under, The Office UK, The X-Files, The West Wing, Seinfeld, The Shield, Spaced, Black Books, Buffy, Blackadder, Arrested Development, 24 & Scrubs (Both are dead and have been to me since like their third seasons, but I LOVED them up till then.)

Currently watch; True Blood, Mad Men, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Friday Night Lights, Chuck, Lost, It's Always Sunny In Philly, South Park, Simpsons, Peep Show & Lost.

Actually that's pretty much everything I've ever watched, think I went a bit overboard.

^^ Why? I don't think you can fault that list. Only potential slip up's lie in the few I have never seen.
