You don't have to adjust diagonal directions like north-west. Click OK.
Well heres the problem, I press F1 and it works, but I have no idea how to pick "keyset a", and the ctrl button dosen't do anything.

One thing I hate about the Commodore 64 is how just about every game has a completely different set of controls.

And when working with a keyboard it's easy to get confused.

that config thing sounds more like something that happens after loading the .d64 files but before getting into the actual game. the last time i looked at a c64 emulator was about 8 years ago though. good luck. worse case the author of that guide seems open to email.

75: Angry Video Game Nerd wannabes on youtube

Now James Rolfe took a simple concept and made it work, a fustrated nerd who takes bad games very personally. For him it worked for two reasons.

1. His bursts of anger are actually convincing, which is what makes them funny
2. He actually reviews bad games

So take away those 2 things and you have a f*cking sh*tload of retarded "angry" reviews on youtube, sh*tty quality videos (where you just see a big blue blob on the tv screen) with reviewers talking like they have tourettes syndrome. Worst of all, they have no idea what a bad game is, these are the kids who grew up on FPS games where the challenge is pretty much nonexistant, so to them, any game that's actually, you know, hard, is bad.

Ecco the Dolphin is a great game, I don't care what all these f*cking idiots say.

Here's a good example of what I mean.

Super fail.

74: Dubiously placed save points

You know what I'm talking about, save points that are scarce as f*ck, games where the last save point is like 10 f*cking minutes away from the boss, and every time you lose a hard ass boss fight, instead of just starting over from there, you have to start back somewhere that you were ages ago and start all over again. There's no fun in that.

Metroid Prime especially had this problem. In an age where we finally have the technology to save from any point in the game, we don't even need save points anymore. But if you do insist on having them then for crying out loud be a little more generous with placing them around the stages.

I got so frustrated with this on Medal Of Honor: Heroes 2 for Wii. Level two took me so long to beat because the first checkpoint is so far away.

I haven't played that game in months, I really should get back to it.

73: The fact that video game companies still can't grasp the simple idea that games should be released EVERYWHERE

Unless it's one of those weird dating sim games that ONLY the Japanese could understand, there's no excuse for all these acclaimed titles not making it to North America.

Super Mario Bros 2 (the actual f*cking Super Mario Bros 2), Final Fantasy II and III (the actual f*cking Final Fantasy II & III), Final Fantasy V, Fire Emblem, Joy Mecha Fight, Famicom Wars, Sin & Punishment, Mother 1 & 3, Kuru Kuru Kururin, Custom Robo, Legend of Valkyrie, Twinkle Tale, Namco x Capcom, Segagaga, Ninja Jajamaru-kun series, Densetsu no Stafy series, a lot of the Ganbare Goemon games, more DS games than I can count, and the list goes on.

I mean some of these games are even released in Europe, which dosen't even make any sense, everyone knows that video game companies don't give a f*ck about Europe. So how do they get games that us American's don't get? Do the Japanese think we're stupid? That certain games would go over our heads?

Well sadly that is true.
