I wanna pick it back up cause I want to beat ass with superheroes but OMG I hated the controls. It was like every fifth or tenth time I tried a just-above-basic combo after countless times trying to do the same thing it would actually work. Why on Earth are the controls so picky? So long as I get the directional controls basically right it should work cause why the **** wouldn't it?

it's a relic of the origin of fighting games being the arcade cabinets which had limited controls and so had to bind the moves to back half circle punch or whatever

you really have to devote a bunch of time to a traditional fighter to do anything cool, it is true

I played those. Plenty. Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter 2 were arcade games when I was a kid. Those moves were not nearly so hard. You might not nail them every time but it didn't feel like you were fighting your controller just to play the ****ing game.

No. I'm not doing that.

Why not? You grab your fight stick every night.

Please tell me you're not playing male Shep. **** him and his incompetent voice actor.

Nah you're just a loser. It's not a super complex system by any means, but it's intuitive as **** and if you get hit it's probably just cause you got over eager. It's pretty obvious that to be able to feel like the badass that Batman is that it should be a combat system that is satisfying but simple, otherwise you'll just feel like a bitch unless you put in the time necessary to succeed at a high learning curve fighting game, and let's be honest, **** those games. I just want to beat ten guys' asses at once like a true superhero.

I've never played the games before so I wanted to do male Shephard just to get a good idea of the game. I know it warrants multiple playthrough which makes my KOTOR heart happy.

I know the female Shep is fantastic tho so I'm looking forward to that.

What's your take on Andromeda? I know it's hit or miss. I'm willing to give a shot though.

Haven't played it. Why did you choose male Shep to get a good idea of the game? They have almost the exact same lines 99% of the game and there is no difference in the plot. It's just a difference in look and voice actor. And trust me, Femshep's voice actor brings the game far more to life than male Shep's flat performance. It's almost like a different game with her even though it's the exact same game. I don't even play male Shepard unless I'm specifically doing a playthrough to romance a straight female character, otherwise it's Femshep by default.

I dunno. I always was under the impression that male Shep is the default playthrough but that's just assumption. But I do look forward to playing her character.

Aside from the difference in performance there is literally no difference between the two. Male Shep is only default because gamers are sexist pigs.
