Batman Arkham Asylum ..

I was a little sceptical, but the game is actually superb. Gems like these don't come along very often so I would warmly recommend this to anyone. It looks gorgeous, it's compelling and the gameplay is excellent!

edit :

Here's a trailer!

I beat Uncharted: Drake's Fortune so I'm pretty much stuck playing online multiplayer in Battlefield: Bad Company until Modern Warfare 2 comes out (or I get Uncharted 2).

anyone a pc gamer more than consoles here?

i've been enjoying the new Dawn of War 2 update with the new 'last stand' mode quite a bit lately. tough as hell, finally made it past wave 9 (out of 20) last night for the first time ever.

i've also been retrogaming the original Fallout since i finally managed to score a proper copy of the game in a triple pack of the old titles in the series.

I'm exclusively a PC gamer now that my 2nd xbox 360 decided to die on me. My PC isn't really that powerful though so I've been enjoying some older games like Painkiller, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Call of Cthuluhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, The Longest Journey, Psychonauts, and Half-Life 2.

Thinking of buying that for 10 bucks at the local Gamestop, worth it?

nice, i've tried about half of those at various times and while they're all great i could never really stick with one to the point of completion. got close with STALKER and then made the mistake of patching it / nuking my save

anyone have any comments on Borderlands? first hand experience?

that's my biggest issue. it looks awesome.... but so did Hellgate:London. as for knowing much about it as far as i can tell it's all about killing stuff to get better guns and cooler loot. it's not exactly sold as a thinking man's game.

Hellgate didn't actually look that cool to me when it was being hyped. And then... it wasn't. I never actually got it. Borderlands just looks so cool, I'd get it just for the graphics.
