Yesterday, I picked up SSX for the 360.
This game is a lot of fun. I'm glad they've found a correct way to reboot it. This is the kind of "sports" game I've been looking for.

I've been playing this quite a bit for the past few days, although I have the PS3 version. Definitely a return to form after On Tour and Blur, though the level designers really needed to cut down on the amount of chasms that are virtually invisible until you fall into them and lose a race.

so, The Sims 3 (with all DLC included) is available right now for $10 on Steam.

I've never played any of The Sims games (minus Sim City 2000)

y'all think I should get it?

Just finished Assassin's Creed Revelations :) Good game and a lot of fun, if a little like the others.

Thanks for the good times, Ezio!

I definitely like The Sims, and it is, at the very least, and important PC game that everyone should probably at least try. That being said, a lot of it hinges on how much effort you put in to create characters and environments (which is what the entire game is, basically), so if you don't like to be super creative in video games it might not be the series for you.

There's also no need to pay for it if you just want to try it as the original The Sims is now a free Facebook game. While it may have been an important and substantial step within the gaming industry, the series never held my (or my peers) attention for more than a few days at a time. Lady friends on the other hand - can't seem to get enough.

Sim City V is an EA project right? Expect 10 expansion packs. I'll have none of that garbage

I think I'm going to trade in all my old 360 games and use the credit to repurchase some other old PS2 games. Decided that I didn't want to wait on this one though, definitely bringing back some good memories.

It's being done by Maxis. Though published by EA. I'm being cautiously optimistic at this point. The 'Glassbox' engine they announced for all future 'Sim' games seems really impressive, especially where it's being developed as PC exclusive tech.

My main concern is the mention of online only play. CitiesXL tried this a while back and it didn't work out that well - and they are the next best thing to SimCity. Also finite resources per map will add an interesting twist to long term city development.

Just finished my First Playthrough of Mass Effect 3. I absolutely love it.
