Farcry 3

If you're having any reservations about getting this game because of some of the dodgy design decisions from Farcry 2, disregard them and get the game. As much as I hate the marketing parallels, it really is Skyrim but with guns. You've got a big open sandbox full of interesting things to do and some really interesting characters with Vaas (the scary looking pirate on the cover) being the standout villain of 2012. All the combat missions are a lot of fun and have multiple paths to traverse and the character upgrades are all useful and make it easy to figure out what kind of style you want to play. Highly recommended if you need something to keep you entertained during these cold winter months.

Console, my laptop can't even play the first one, plus the whole Native Linux thing kind of makes it hard to game.

I've gone back to Portal 2 as it's been long enough that I've forgotten some of the puzzles. I've also started to play the co-op mode as well, which is just as good. Such an amazing game, maybe top 10 of all-time for me.

And thanks for the reassurance on Far Cry 3, Pete. I was pretty much set on getting it anyways. I actually got completely bored with Far Cry 2 and didn't get far into it, but I'm confident this will be a lot better.

Anyone play Journey? Looks pretty amazing and it won a bunch of awards. It's supposed to be really short but it's only $15 or something.

I really want to play it and one of these days I'll steal my roommies PS3, hook it up to my big screen TV and have a go at it. They're still doing finals so I should probably do it sooner rather than later. I'd suggest we play through the game together, but the whole anonymity thing with the multiplayer is suppose to be the point of the game. The soundtrack is absolutely beautiful too, and it's free from bandcamp.

I just tried to add funds to my wallet to buy the game and keep getting:

"The funds could not be added to your wallet. (56)"

I looked this error message up online and other people don't know how the **** to deal with this either. I haven't bought anything since that network outage way back so I'm wondering if that has something to do with it.
