Well that sounds like dumb ****. If I'm gonna buy a physical copy it's cause I want to continue to play that game after PS4 games are no longer supported. Getting rich sounds counter productive since nobody buys physical anymore.

I'm watching dansgaming play through the dead space remake and it looks amazing. I love both dead space 1 and 2. 3 is trash.

Do you ever watch John Wolf? I've lost most interest in lets players but John Wolf has always stuck with me.

I'll check him out. I watch a lot of youtube and a lot of streamers upload vods. So it's nice to put on a 6+ hour let's play when I'm chillin.

Ah, I see you are a man of culture as well

But seriously, John's stuff is great. Next to Gab Smolders and the occasional game grumps episode it's basically all I watch in terms of YT let's plays

Man, back in 2013-2016 I was obsessed with Game Grumps. I haven't really been a big gamer since I was a teenager, but I really liked the improv comedy aspect of those let's plays, almost reminded me of Mystery Science Theater but for video games and unscripted.

Not an era of my life I'm keen to revisit, but it filled a void at the time.

Well yeah, that's a pro as well of course. I'm not saying you keep the games forever in the hopes of them becoming a high dollar collectors item in the future, I'm saying that if you've got a physical copy - you complete the game, and you don't see yourself ever wanting to play it again, you could bring it to a place like Gamestop, trade it in for credit, and get a bit of a discount on a different game that you do want.

But with digital you get sales that beat trading in physical games by a mile.
