Still one of my favorite games of all time. I did a full review of it in one of my old journals. I am also looking forward to the sequel.

About a month ago, I was in the throes of mono with a continous three weeks of fever which kept me away from work. During that time, I discovered and started to play Sea of Thieves, the open world pirate game from Rare which came with my Windows/Xbox gamepass.

What actually drew me in was the feeling of just sailing the boat through the waves which just feels great and very immersive. I'd never played a game with somewhat realistic ocean physics and feel before. You can even get sea sick, like for real. Brilliant! Supposedly the game was a bit thin in terms of content when it debuted, but we're now 8 seasons in and there's been more than enough to do to keep me interested. I've also been playing it a bit with my 6 year old who's a great bilge rat, repairing the boat and feeding our pets while I do the battling and heavy lifting.

It's a lot of fun!

I'm glad I didn't fall for the trap and buy The Callisto Protocol. I guess I'll be waiting until January for the Dead Space remake.

Yooooo you won't believe this, but I've wanted to play that game for a long time - and I was so set on playing a new horror game with my wife the day that Callisto came out that I finally decided to pick this one up instead! It's absolutely great! Really gives me those old school Resi/Silent Hill vibes. And for $20, it's a much better value proposition than Callisto is.

currently playing some Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

really looking forward to Jedi: Survivor.

though, i'm genuinely hoping that the novel that is set in-between that games won't be necessary reading.
