You need not confuse not being able to do everything with bad controls, there is a difference. Sidestepping isn't really all that necessary in RE4, it's not a stealth based game, you just come out at enemies and whack them out, it's a lot more straightforward than other games in the series. As for not always knowing when something sneaks up on you, personally I think that adds to the suspense, it is a horror themed game after all.

I think RE4 has some of the best controls of it's genre, certainly the best in the series.
Well, sidestepping and all that aside, the PC port still has ****ty controls.

^Something I would definetly agree with.

I don't know about the console version, though, but I guess it must be way better.

That is a solid trio.

Currently I found a new copy of Deus Ex, which was basically impossible to find outside of a crappy bundle. Now I'm just raging against my keyboard which isn't ****ing working properly, every shootout is being replayed a thousand times because I can't ****ing take cover or chase properly.

This is a really good fucking game. And sure, Vahn, isn't the best lead character of the FF series, but this is a pretty solid game. I think I spent about 150 hours behind this one.

Started this about 3 times and got a hearty distance into it, but could never get on with it.

Vaan sucks.

I thought you were talking about the game as a whole.

Get the Gamecube or Wii version.
