Pretty much the reason I stopped playing it before was because it got ridiculously repetitive, and thus got boring. But I decided to play some more of it, and it is a really fun shooter. It's not extremely innovative, and it does get boring after just doing variations on the same mission over and over again, but it's enjoyable.

Resident Evil 4

Well I haven't exactly been playing it but I' have been watching my brother play it and I think it is awesome. Who doesn't like mowing down zombies with shotguns? As for just watching it, I would give it a 10/10.

something which is sad about Resident Evil 4 is the ridiculous PC port. It doesn't even come with mouse support.

I also have to say I don't like how so much of the difficulty of the game comes from the fact it's got rather ****ty controls overall. For example - although you get quickly get used to it, the inability of the characters for example to sidestep in order to peer around corners is quite puzzling at first. Usually, you don't know what's really in a room until you've walked well in and then turned around .. which is just stupid.

Entertaining game, but overrated I think.

(And yeah, I've finished it)

edit :

Storymilo, regarding FarCry 2, don't forget the horrible respawning of mobs in that one! You can kill 10 mobs at an outpost, then leave only to return to it 30 seconds later and all mobs have respawned. In such an otherwise realistic game, that really kills the credibility of the setting and factors hugely in making the game repetitive since returning to places you were just at is something you do all the time and killing the same mobs over and over and over is what eventually gets so boring ..

Couldn't they have made it so that mobs respawned after, say, 10 - 20 - 30 minutes?

I completed that too. Overall fun, but somewhat flawed.

well comparing it to older games, it sticks with the story mode from THUG/THUG 2, and the story isn't bad, just nothing special. it's not really too challenging, either, alot of the other games in the series i beat it in a matter of hours .

the levels are good, but only a few of them are really memorable, my favorite being the Skate Ranch, especially after you get all the stuff for it. i like that they also brought older THPS levels in this game with a classic mode, like they did in THUG 2.

they also added a few new tricks, like boned ollies and bertslides, which i really enjoy because you could do more flatground stuff and add some variety to your combos. i also really like how the characters do their tricks, they really move their arms and legs like a real skater would, not like in alot of the earlier titles where they'd move like manequiens(sp?)

but in all, yeah, go get this game. tbh with EA's Skate series kinda handing Tony Hawk's ass to him, you could get this title cheap as hell.

and just to make this post a sh*tton longer, here are some more games i played recently.

^bought these both for $3 each, i'm not kidding.

played HL2 once, because alot of the parts where things went white or got too bright proved to be too much for my TV which turned off at those moments. i'll keep playing, but it'll be at a slow pace or with a different monitor as not to damage my television. still, what i played i really liked.

UC however got two plays from me so far, the second time with two consecutive 60 minute deathmatches. my favorite weapons'd have to be the the Minigun, Rocket Launcher and the Link Gun. so much fun killing people with those, but i wish you could do a better melee attack than that sheild gun crap.

Sh*ttty controls? Really?

You need not confuse not being able to do everything with bad controls, there is a difference. Sidestepping isn't really all that necessary in RE4, it's not a stealth based game, you just come out at enemies and whack them out, it's a lot more straightforward than other games in the series. As for not always knowing when something sneaks up on you, personally I think that adds to the suspense, it is a horror themed game after all.

I think RE4 has some of the best controls of it's genre, certainly the best in the series.

My god you're right, I hate it so much. Of course without the respawning the game would be almost ridiculously short, but I think they should have thought of some way to fill the gaps. I took to just driving through the outposts, but then they shot up my car it took even longer to find a new one than it would have taken to kill everyone there.

I haven't played championship, but and I'm pretty sure it's the same as UT 2003, which was super weak compared to the original.

There is nothing worse than a developer who uses cheap tactics to pad the length of a game (see Devil May Cry 4)

I'm currently playing Trine from PSN, and loving it. Don't know if it's an exclusive or not, but it's a great game!
