I'd have to go with American Dad.

Being crazzzzyy and naming other shows not in the poll...

1. South Park
2. ATHF
3. Futurama
4. Moral Orel (absolutely brilliant, especially that disturbing, dark 3rd season)
5. King of the Hill

And then there is a big drop off...

I completely agree. I'm not a huge fan of television, but Morel Oral (especially the third season... which is so intricately planned out... not to mention incredibly dark) is a lost gem among television shows. I definitely recommend watching it.

I do love Moral Orel. I also liked Home Movies.

For this poll, I vote South Park, as it's (imho) gotten better with age. Family Guy's something I do enjoy watching as light background noise while I'm doing something else, and as far as MacFarlane goes, I'll take American Dad.

For grown-up geared cartoons in general, I'd have to say:

1.) King of the Hill
2.) Futurama
3.) Moral Orel
4.) South Park
5.) Archer / Home Movies / American Dad (TIE)

Then shows like ATHF, Family Guy, and things of that nature still are things I enjoy watching.

I'd put my list at

1. Futurama
2. King of the Hill
3. South Park
4. Beavis and Butthead

but if we're talking all time, and not just current seasons:

1. The Simpsons
2. Futurama
3. King of the Hill
4. South Park
5. Beavis and Butthead
6. Family Guy
7. American Dad

All great shows in their own right. Tom Goes to the Mayor is another really good yet underrated animated show. Very surreal humor that's reflected even in the animation style.

Heh. It's definitely not a kid's show. And yes, it is awesome. Don't know if I'd call it an animated sitcom though. Invader Zim was amazing. I want them to revive that for Comedy Central or something. Hopefully that wouldn't go the way of Ren and Stimpy's Adult Party Cartoon, though...

They're also crude, vulgar, blasphemous, sexist, violent, and very disturbing. But are obviously from the minds of extremely liberal thinkers who probably know the line between presenting a show, and the morals one should live by.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
