I think I'm gonna love the premiere of Netherlands v Germany, the previews make it look special.

Seconded. Nice picture/poster.

Last time I watched it was when I was a kid. It brings back memories. And, surprisingly, I'm not appalled. Normally I'm pretty critical about dated FX and and '80s things in general, but that show was ahead of its time, apparently.

Until they started making the Star Fleet uniforms baggy and with shoulder pads..... gag.
Yeah I'm watching it too, though I have seen it plenty of times before, so I know the bad episodes to avoid. Still stands the test of time, mark of a great series.

WARNING! If you're watching on Sky Atlantic, they're about to unleash Voyager on us! Again. You have been warned...

That's extremely subjective though. Some comedy IS boring, at least I think so. A lot, in fact. I generally stick to the comedy shows I know, but occasionally try new ones out. Successes were "Suburgatory" and "2 broke girls", fails were "Episodes" and "Enlightened", both truly awful.

But there is loads of good drama on too. I watch shows like "Flashpoint", "Criminal minds" and "Game of thrones" for the high drama and character development, though I do admit to being somewhat confused by all the characters and subplots in the latter: who ARE all these guys??

Oh, and I don't think time-pass is a cromulent word...

I have started watching Workaholics recently, and I am really enjoying how they marry stupidity with a reasonably high level of wit. Great show, totally ridiculous but not brain numbingly stupid.

Feh! Star Trek hipsters. Voyager was **** and Enterprise sucked the big one, yeah, yeah, yeah. Voyager was actually not nearly as bad as many people make it out to be. It just had more of an emphasis on who's-sleeping-with-who style drama.

That show's pretty hysterical. And it's on Fletnix Instant!

I agree. I watched the entire series of Next Generation last year on Netflix and have been slowly working my way through Voyager since then. I'd actually go as far as saying it's the the next best thing to TNG. It's certainly far better than Deep Space 9 or Enterprise.

If this were a Star Trek thread I would hotly dispute that, but if anyone wants to discuss it in PM I'd be happy to.

All I'll say here is, you are of course both wrong.

I've never particularly been a trekky, but the Next Generation series stood out for me because I invested in it growing up. The original too, but after the fact and half-assedly.
I never had any urge at all to watch anything beyond Next Generation.

I would if I was a hardcore sci-fi guy, but Star Trek Next Gen. is basically just an exception for me.
